Where can I buy your work?

You can buy my artwork and merch here at my main shop, HIMAWARI '91. You can also purchase any downloadable goods, such as zines, sketchbooks, etc, here

I have one stockist, Newtown HQ in Astoria, Queens, so you can now buy my art and merch at a brick-and-mortar.


How long does it take for my order to ship?

I make every effort to get your order to you as quickly as possible—usually packing orders within 3-5 days. I typically ship on Fridays, excluding holidays. Any orders placed Friday through Sunday will be processed the following week.

*Please note that during high volume seasons, orders may take longer to process.

Do you ship internationally?

As of now, I do not offer international shipping.

What methods of shipping do you offer?

I offer USPS and UPS shipping.

Can I get my order sooner with express shipping?

Yes! I offer USPS Priority Mail and UPS 3-day select shipping, which typically arrives in 2-3 business days to US addresses.

How can I track my order?

An automated e-mail containing your tracking number will be sent to the e-mail address used when placing your order. This e-mail is separate from your order confirmation e-mail and will be sent out once your order has been shipped. Please check your spam/junk folder for this notification as it can sometimes end up there due to different mail servers. If for some reason you don’t receive it within 4 business days of order placement, please send me an e-mail with the subject line “Tracking Inquiry” to [email protected]

*Please also note that it can take 1-2 days for the tracking to update.

My order stopped tracking/is lost in transit. What do I do?

USPS (and occasionally UPS) tracking updates are not constantly updated in real time. Please keep checking your tracking status for 7 days and you should start to see updates.

After 7 days, if you don’t see an update please send me an e-mail with the subject line “Tracking Inquiry” to [email protected]

When will I receive my order?

As I mentioned, I make every effort to get your order to you as quickly as possible. Once shipped, most domestic orders will arrive in 7- business days for standard delivery. For international orders, please allow for more shipping time. Depending on the number of orders I receive in a day, it may take longer to get your order shipped out due to packaging time. Please note that during the holidays' orders may take longer than usual. Please rest assured that your order will be arriving soon. However, please contact me on the contact page or at [email protected] with the subject line "Tracking Inquiry" if you feel your package is taking longer than expected to arrive.

If you have any questions, please contact me on the contact page or at [email protected] . I will try to get back to everyone within 24 hours! During high-traffic weeks, you may experience a delay in response.

How can I cancel my order?

As long as your order is still pending, I can cancel your order. Please send an e-mail to [email protected] with the subject line “Cancel Order” and include your order # in the subject line - I’ll take care of the rest for you!




What is your return policy?

At this time, I ONLY take returns on apparel orders. If you would like to return a whole or partial order, you may return the unwashed/unworn item[s] at any time up to 30 days after the delivery date of your order. Please note that you will be responsible for the shipping cost of returning the item[s].

My item arrived damaged / This isn't what I ordered, what do I do?

If you have received a damaged/incorrect item, please send an e-mail to [email protected] with the subject line “Damaged Item” or “Incorrect Item” within 30 days of delivery and I will take care of it, at no cost to you.

When will I receive my refund?

Refunds are transferred back to the original form of payment and will be processed within 48-72 hours of cancellation. It may take your bank a few additional business days to post the refund to your account.

I bought something at the Gigi Murakami TABLE during a convention/MARKET and I changed my mind, can I return/exchange it?

  • IF THE CONVENTION IS STILL OPEN: Please speak with me [or one of my assistants] to process your return/exchange as soon as possible. We would be happy to help you while styles and sizes last!

  • IF THE CONVENTION IS OVER: Unfortunately, I cannot process returns/exchanges once the convention ends as my online shop and booth run on different systems.



My item arrived, but I need a different size. Do you offer exchanges?

Unfortunately, I do not offer online exchanges. You will need to return your order [per my Return Policy] and place an order for the new item.

Are your garments sized for men or women?

My garments are unisex, so they run larger as a result.

I want to purchase an item but I don’t see my size. Can you print just one in my size?

All sizes currently offered will be listed in my shop, HIMAWARI‘91. Unfortunately, UNLESS THERE IS A LARGE ENOUGH DEMAND, I am unable to offer additional sizes at this time.




Washing Instructions

In order to preserve colors and design, I recommend most of my apparel be washed cold, inside out, with like colors, and with minimal to no bleaching. Please line-dry or tumble-dry on a low setting. Do not iron directly over designs.

Will my Gigi Murakami / HIMAWARI '91 apparel shrink in the wash?

Most of my apparel is 100% cotton, so please keep this in mind when washing and drying. To prevent shrinking as much as possible, I recommend washing them in cold water and line dry or in a low-heat/delicate setting.

Do you offer gift cards/gift certificates for your store?

I do not offer gift cards at this time.

I found a coupon for your store on [website]. How can I apply it to my order?

I announce any and all active coupons/discount codes on my social media, newsletter, and store banners. When a coupon/discount is active, there will be a section to input the code when placing an order.

I will only honor discounts/coupons listed directly from my platforms during the dates indicated.
